US Acknowledges Bahrain's Repression, Wants to Send New Arms Anyway

Even as it admitted that human rights conditions in the country remain poor, the United States announced Monday it would lift holds on security assistance to Bahrain's Defense Force and National Guard, put in place in 2011 following the state's crackdown on Arab Spring demonstrators.

Plus, they have been really generous in support of ISIS (trained and armed by the CIA in Jordan, financed by the Saudis, Bahrain, etc.) This has enabled us to throw good money after bad, arming both sides in this debacle, playing both of them against the middle.

Thanks, Bahrain. It's so profitable for the MIC (not so much for anyone else).

* Are they kidding? Øbama has finally found a group of allies he can count on. No dissent, lots of brutality, closed minds. What more could he dream of?
