US Bombing Kills 10 Children in Afghanistan: UN

Andrea Germanos, staff writer

The United Nations said Monday that "international military forces" killed 13 civilians, 10 of whom were children, in an airstrike near Kunduz city in Afghanistan.

The United States, as Agence France-Presse reported, "is the only member of the international coalition in Afghanistan that provides air support in the conflict."

War crimes . …
Listen you will never win this war .You cannot .
Why ? Because it’s a battle of the mind ! Its only at the level of belief that change can happen .
As beliefs create behaviours .

You must talk and try and understand the feelings of those that are your perceived enemy .

Get the fuck out of Afghanistan and Iraq! STOP the killing and continued destruction.

In a statement quoted by the New York Times , Richardson the Taliban for the casualties. “The Taliban were hiding in civilian homes and maneuvered in and out of compounds without any concern for the families living inside,” she said.

What weasel words. Here the officer all but admits the US aware children and civilians in the area yet launched the Air strike anyways but it the Taliban’s fault?

She admits to a war crime and then passes the blame.

  1. Aerial bombardment is legitimate only when directed at a military objective, that is to say, an object of which the destruction or injury would constitute a distinct military advantage to the belligerent.

(2) Such bombardment is legitimate only when directed exclusively at the following objectives: military forces; military works; military establishments or depots; factories constituting important and well-known centres engaged in the manufacture of arms, ammunition or distinctively military supplies; lines of communication or transportation used for military purposes.

(3) The bombardment of cities, towns, villages, dwellings or buildings not in the immediate neighborhood of the operations of land forces is prohibited. In cases where the objectives specified in paragraph 2 are so situated, that they cannot be bombarded without the indiscriminate bombardment of the civilian population, the aircraft must abstain from bombardment.

(4) In the immediate neighborhood of the operations of land forces, the bombardment of cities, towns, villages, dwellings or buildings is legitimate provided that there exists a reasonable presumption that the military concentration is sufficiently important to justify such bombardment, having regard to the danger thus posed to the civilian population.

It states CLEARLY that aerial bombing prohibited if it can not be done with affecting the civil population and
the spokesperson stated clearly that the US was aware the Taliban was mixed in with the Civilians.

We keep killing civilians, and the Taliban keeps winning the war.

We’ve actually managed to create a business model out of death and lost causes.

Who in the hell is worth killing in Afghanistan that justifies the death of children?
The so called enemy is there because we are at this point. Pack it up war mongers and leave them alone.
