US Slides Down Annual Press Freedom Ranking, With Watchdog Calling Nation 'Problematic' for Reporters' Rights

Julia Conley, staff writer

An annual accounting of press freedoms around the world describes an "intense climate of fear" in which reporters are being forced to work, calling out world leaders like U.S. President Donald Trump and Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro for their attacks on the media.

The empire is collapsing in so many ways…

Yet journalists for the New York Times, Washington Post, NPR, MSNBC, etc. are nearly unanimous in their failure to critique the UK/US arrest and persecution of Julian Assange.

The US propaganda machine is doing its job of disinformation and outright lies.

"In March 2011, Reuters’s Ipsos polling firm asked 18,829 people in 23 countries: “As you may know, the mission of the Wikileaks internet site is to publish copies of confidential government or corporate files and information to the public. Do you support or oppose this type of site that would post such materials?. Globally, there was 74% Support and 26% Oppose. Now the kicker, the lowest support was in U.S with 29% support versus 61% opposition. The second-lowest support of Wikileaks was in UK or “Great Britain,” where the opposition to Wikileaks was 38% instead of America’s 61%”.

I prefer to read the foreign news over our “Press Freedom” that has clearly failed the public for decades. Here’s the link to the original article:

Be vigilant. If you see brown shirts and arm bands you should probably investigate. Is it a friendly neighborhood bunch on the side of a free people, or is it a policing activity?

So where is the actual article with the complete list of the latest press freedom rankings?

No credibility. Sweden which has been part of the gang persecuting and now torturing Julian Assange is ranked 3rd. They rank with the U.S.
Reporters Without Borders is based in NATO France, not neutral.

This is a good sign, we hit 49th place under Obama.
