And the corporatist ratbastards have the nerve to stand in front of USA flags to announce their latest plans for predation. Of course, peoples on other shores have long known that the USA flag represents predation and enslavement and death. The unfortunate peoples of the USA are now entering an accelerated term of education on the true meaning of their flag and their nation. Some of them will no doubt continue chanting USA! USA! USA! USA! until all the color drains from their faces and they collapse quivering in the dirt and the bulldozer shoves them into a ditch.

So, according to the writer of this puff piece, Jake Johnson, this proposal is “dead on arrival” simply because a few progressive groups that hold no sway whatsoever over the Republican or democratic party’s said it was.
Poppycock.
What the McConnell led GOP just did was tell the democrats “Fuck You! You’ve given me everything I wanted in the last three years. You’ve put up little to no opposition to my literal destruction of the administrative and regulatory state. I’ve packed the courts with all manner of conservative lunatics and ideologues. I practically ignored your hapless impeachment efforts. Considering all of that, why would I give you democrats anything at this point? Your choice is to keep playing ball with me hoping for scraps for your constituents, or just let me crash the USA into a goddamn iceberg and leave a total disaster, knowing that the Democratic Party and Joe Biden won’t have the intestinal fortitude to take the revolutionary approach that will be required to repair the damage. The conservative courts will protect the libertarian agenda, and continue the Koch brothers agenda until 2024 when the nation will elect another group of republicans because the democrats couldn’t get anything done under a Biden, Pelosi run country.”
“Oh, and fuck you again!”
The democrats are about to cave to fascists again. You can count on it.

‘Pathetic Would Be Too Mild a Word’ for a fact! Criminal, obscene, corrupt, even treasonous are more apt!

"Republicons - are now giving a 100% deduction for rich people to go out and have three martini lunches. But you know what, millions of families in this country are facing hunger; there’s not an additional nickel in their package for nutrition programs for children or for working people."

The words of Bernie Sanders who still fights for the families of “ordinary” people, for the 99% and the Common Good, while most remain silent and complicit to the R’Con obscenity - an obscenity that benefits wealth and power but not nationhood or society!

“more than 13.5 million households with children reported in the first week of July that they didn’t have enough to eat” - “Sanders went on to note that the GOP’s $1 trillion package includes “not a nickel” in funding for election assistance or the U.S. Postal Service”.

Sounds like they just told the protesters looking for redress to pound sand.

The party of Lincoln, my ass. The party of Mussolini, in practice. Rubbing our noses is shit, while they tiptoe through the tulips of healthcare and retirement benefits we fund for them.

Legal immunity for our Overlords. That would be the bitter end, really. They could do anything they wanted. They almost have that now, so they use this crisis to rip off the final bandaid.

THEY’RE GOING ALL THE WAY THIS TIME, FOLKS.

“remarkably, would make the pandemic and economic pain even worse”.

Maybe why they took so long. If they had wanted to really help, a decision could have been made in hours. (Because let’s face it, they have the power to do whatever they want.)

First corporations are given the same rights as people and now they are giving corporations greater rights than people.

Growing up as a young, (mostly) innocent boy, I was educated about the world largely through cartoons. I never knew who the villains in them were mimicking in real life. No doubt now.

Time to chum the sharks up from the depths. It’s FEEDING time! Blatant, loutish, dead-eyed subjugation is integral to Hitler’s große Lüge. It silences pesky cognitive dissonance, makes life simple: it’s ALL the VICTIM’S fault. DNC has to CRUSH us and silence any discussion of our silly platform. Scores-of-thousands of oddly vacant homes to flip, evicted homeless to indenture/ incarcerate with usurious EZ Credit, PayCheck loans (devoid of paychecks & “beloved employer ACA plans,” as they work sick, infect loved ones & surprise out of network ER, ICU, PhARMA, Final Expense collection trials begin?) “A crisis is a terrible thing to WASTE!” Jesus

The Health, Economic Evil, Liability, and Schools (HEELS) Act.

There, fixed it for you.

Typical Republican Senators mob move, wait until the last minute to present an odious program, without debate, just as many unemployment benefits are to disappear, and hand it over to the Democratic majority House while telling the American People the Dems are holding back your lifelines, by delaying signature.
And the people continue to let this happen. Absolute craziness.

One $ trillion? Where does the money go? Nothing for states. Major cuts in fed unemployment.

Immunity for corporations? No. Especially when they take inadequate at best measures to protect the people who work for them. Insane.

Amen Beli
That’s the great part about the libertarian lifestyle we now lead. Everything good that happens to you, you earned. And everything bad that happens? Well, thats all your fault, and you probably had it coming.
Life must be so easy when you’re a sociopath.

No socialism for YUNZ jagoffs! Drink your radium-flavored fracking brine, an’at? Do you remember Reagan’s Miracle era, there? Varmint poaching, dumpster-diving & food banks for the REAL unemployed people (white suburban males, who’d been making $12.50-$17 back then, with $8 benefits packages?) Now, it’s how much of each bailout’s going to OmniConsumerProductsOrg to build a fleet of drunked-up deaths of disparity deplorables? Has UPMC delayed any rich Saudis getting their new livers, yet (and how do they even function without refugee grad-student interns?)

Funny you mention UPMC. My wife worked for them briefly when the practice she managed was purchased many years ago by our local medical monopoly. She is still in the Medical biz and has heard horror stories from colleagues still at UPMC as to how they can’t find medical students to fill their residency programs, as well as open fellowships and attending positions.
The same is going on down Morgantown way, as WVU/Ruby health systems can’t find hired help either (in the last year they were paying nurses from Pittsburgh 20 thousand dollar signing bonuses to work in Morgantown) It seems that American students no longer want to major in medicine, as it will leave even wealthy students in hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt. They all go into research now and work for Big Pharma.
Ah capitalism! Is there anything it can’t do?

Can we arrest all of the GOP Congress and charge them with “Greed Unbefitting An Elected Official?”

If not, can we just remove them because they’re being mean?

Mormons will be responsible for cutting SS and Medicare. MORMONS!!

When I consider that both parties corporatists don’t even try to hide their corruption, but rather, brazenly screw the public in their money and power grab, I come to the conclusion that these people, who are foolish, but not stupid, and who are much more knowledgeable about what actually controls our politics, have come to the conclusion that the takeover of our country is complete and irreversible. They know progressives have no significant power and most Americans are easily frightened, corn fed ignoramuses. Nothing short of revolution has any chance of fixing this. Optimism is homeless in my head.
