In a development hailed as "victory," the U.S. Supreme Court on Monday declined to hear a case that sought to prevent Medicaid patients from accessing key healthcare services from Planned Parenthood.

Maybe. I heard some speculation that the court’s rightwing majority wants to “fly under the radar” and to avoid big controversial cases for now, possibly to keep from influencing the 2020 elections. After they’re in the rearview, however, expect the gloves to come off—these people didn’t become moderates overnight.

Exactly, I wouldn’t caulk this up as a “victory”, just a stay of execution. It will come up again, and we’ll most likely see our fascist court for what it really is.
