Voting Rights Still Need Your Protection

Adam Eichen, Diana Tomezsko

Even with Trump’s bogus voter fraud panel gone, the fight against voter suppression isn’t over.

"The seeds of the commission were planted after the 2016 election, when President-elect Donald Trump claimed for the first time that millions of votes were cast illegally. And since then, despite zero evidence, the president has repeated the claim ad nauseam." (Photo: AFGE/flickr/cc)

Quoted from article "Kobach implied that its investigation into voter fraud would continue and this decision merely represents a “tactical change.” "

Yup zealots never give up their obsession.

Quoted from article “Most importantly, we need to fight for pro-democracy policies, such as automatic voter registration, same-day voter registration, and early voting.”

IF you have the time and energy get involved.

Not only is Kobach’s alignment with HS frightening, but the nefarious efforts of those who wish to sabotage our “free & fair” elections have always been multitiered. Yes, a federal agency could more easily provide cover for malfeasance than trying to coordinate 50 Secretaries of State. Potentially far worse was this development regarding the census bureau. If they are able to delegitimize citizenship to undermine voter eligibility, non sensible unrepresentative leadership will persist for a whole lot longer than if they were to be prevented from doing so. . rigging the census for 2020: http://www.motherjones.com/politics/2018/01/trumps-pick-to-run-2020-census-has-defended-racial-gerrymandering-and-voter-suppression-laws/
