I’m sure an investigative report into how many members of Congress have investments in these enterprises would shock Americans.

While it is a different context in which the question is begged, it is and will remain an awesome question:

“At long last, have you left no sense of decency?”

Don’t near all of trump regime Cabinet appointees, from trump on down, have conflict’s of interest and profit from their ostensibly “public” positions, investments (current and future), and the official policy decisions made by this regime?

When public policy is instituted to enrich or serve any group over the public interest, that is the very definition of “corruption” and criminal, demanding immediate impeachment proceedings, regardless the mantra that those bringing such charges in the current Congress may not “have the votes to impeach him or the Senate to convict and remove him from office”. That argument is BS! a canard and deception to evade responsibility to the people and law, and makes those refusing to enforce the law complicit!!

Corrupt actions, hidden or open, enhancing or creating private profiteering aren’t merely “Rapid, Cynical, and Unethical”, they are criminal and a gross betrayal of the public trust, oath’s of office, the Founders intent in writings, including the US Constitution and Bill of Rights!

As John Adams wrote and I will keep repeating until the cows come home:

"Government is instituted for the common good; for the protection, safety, prosperity, and happiness of the people; and not for profit, honor, or private interest of any one man, family, or class of men; therefore, the people alone have an incontestable, unalienable, and indefeasible right to institute government; and to reform, alter, or totally change the same, when their protection, safety, prosperity, and happiness require it." – John Adams

I don’t see ANY action or policy by this odious regime to serve the Common Good, only common greed and political manipulations!

And, “their” answer would more than likely be “of course not…decency does not advance our aims, nor our bank account”. Scurrilous parasites aint into decency!

So how’s that swamp-draining project going, Mr. Pwesident?

Higgins sez:
“While Kelly’s new position is particularly galling, Warren and Jayapal took care to frame it as part of the bigger problem of the public-private intersect in Washington.”

Kelly would be more newsworthy — and rare — if he wasn’t profiteering off his position.

You are absolutely correct - it is corrupt beyond measure. Worse is the fact that a segment of our population doesn’t even care and, in some cases, worships these cretins.

I recommend a new seven facet government and made an organization chart for it at constituentassembly.org

yuppers… the mafia moved into the WH because the methodologies drilled into the woodwork since Reagan fit like a glove.

Warren continues to show that she would be a ‘do something’ progressive President even if she is a member of the ‘do nothing’ Democrats.

“Elections have consequences:” Many, many of us warned what it could be like if we allowed trump into the White House. Even those of us that understood how bad it would be are shocked at the level and degree he has gone to.
We lost the country in 2000 and we keep playing out subsequent chapters of a book of horror stories ever since.

But we should remember how convincing trump was, and what did we get instead. Just saying, caution wouldn’t hurt.

We lost the country long before that. Don’t leave out Reagan and Bill Clinton years. Bill Clinton turned the Democratic Party into the alternate big donor Republican Party with crumbs on some social issues.

Amerika is and has been for a long long time a Fascist Regime, pretending to be a democracy fooling millions of Americans. The only thing different is now the Trump, Administration is an overt MAFIAOCRACY!

I think you mean Warren continues to ‘claim’, not “show”, she would be a ‘do something’ progressive President. But if you look at her record up until right now when she realized that ‘progressive’ is what will get votes, she’s been establishment Dem all the way.

Warren has a track record however. Trump could say whatever he wanted because he had no political record or of his ever holding office.

Which begs the question, is having been a republican disqualifying?

Every day, I read yet more proof of the fact that “D” and “R” are just sock puppets for the Oligarchy, dedicated to maximizing the profits of the Oligarchy and thereby increasing the emoluments that they are paid for their efforts. The Oligarchy and its sock puppets must go!
We the People must form, by whatever name, a party that bases its actions on the Constitution of the United States of America, not the fascist, illegal, unconstitutional and misnamed Patriot Act and its many descendants. Then, we must support that party and the Green philosophy that will do what is necessary to reverse the current wholesale destruction of Earth for unlimited profits to the oligarchy.
*Some eighty years ago, we fought an horrendous war to eliminate Fascism and Nazism from the world. Seventy-four years ago, we thought we had finally won. We didn’t realize that Operation Paperclip was to bring the Nazis here to teach US how to do it better.
*Now, we are finding that we learned better than even the Nazis thought. It is way past time for We the People to take our country back from the Nazis currently in charge, non-violently if possible, but the Nazis must go before they finally destroy us all. I’m a Nuclear Veteran and have seen what’s coming if we don’t.
*Nobody needs to experience that again, ever!

It was a rousing success. We have drained the last vestiges of water and now have a vast fetid field of slime and rotting carcasses.
