Warren Slams Sessions' DOJ Record a Year After Being Silenced on Senate Floor By Republicans

Julia Conley, staff writer

A year after Republicans silenced her objections to Jeff Sessions' Attorney General nomination, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) took the floor on Wednesday to list a number of ways in which the former Alabama senator has failed to apply fairness and justice to the Department of Justice since taking its helm.

In a Mother Jones article regarding Mr, Howard Nielson a potential federal judge demonstrates that the Judicial System continues to be corrupted from Session to the next tier.

"In early January, three retired senior military officers—including two former Naval Judge Advocate Generals—raised similar concerns about Nielson’s record in a letter to Senator Charles Grassley (R-Iowa), chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee. “Rather than follow where the law leads, Mr. Nielson’s 2005 OLC memo struggled to invent a space beyond the reach of the Geneva Conventions, where legal protections for detainees would not apply,” they wrote. “There is no such space.”

“Since Trump took office in January 2017, the Senate has confirmed 24 of his nominees, including one who was rated “not qualified” by the American Bar Association. Currently, 51 nominees are pending.”

Trump demonized Elizabeth Warren as “Pocahontas” but Trump is so out of touch and such a moron that to many that term is not a pejorative.

In the absence of a quorum Mrs. Warren gets to read Loretta Scott King’s warning about Sessions into the congressional record one year after being silenced. Passionately Mrs Warren uses her voice to criticize retugs in congress who continue to denigrate this country and promises that the resistance will prevail.

She may have lied, but I have not seen any proof yet. Link please.

And yet, Grassley just keeps right on supporting this administration, no matter how corrupt it behaves. Grassley is complicit in the treasons served upon our nation and constitution, just as most Republicans in power today.

Warren, like every other woman in our government is expected to be quiet and just endure whatever these skunks from the GOP deliver upon the American people. Hopefully she will never be silenced & will keep pounding away at their sick attitudes & destructive legislation.

Criticism from Trump is actually a recommendation for Elizabeth. She must be doing something right to irritate Trump. I would like to see Elizabeth run for president in 2020 and defeat Trump. A “mere woman” having the audacity to run against a sexist pig president and win.

Here’s the deal with Elizabeth Warren’s Native American heritage

Elizabeth’s claim to Native American ancestry is a “tempest in a tea pot” compared to the Trumpenstein monster coming up with the “Pocohontas” derision of Elizabeth. Disrespecting and trivializing women is a huge personality issue with Trump. For example:
Trump Was Recorded in 2005 Bragging About Grabbing Women “by the Pussy”

Excuse me for noticing but Trump is a 100 percent male chauvinist pig.

Thanks.

Does it matter much whether Mrs. Warren is native American or not? Her heart is with a people who are/were not being given fair treatment in the land of the brave and the home of the free. America exists today as a super power in every respect, meanwhile, the people who originally lived on America’s land lead lives that for a great percentage are nothing short of pathetic. Imagine yourself for a moment being one of them. Would you not pray for a voice? A voice like Elizabeth Warren?
