Also, remember being told that HMOs would waive the copay for coronavirus testing? Whoops. Actually that wouldnât have mattered either since you still have to pay 100% out of pocket, up to the deductible.
And even people whose âinsuranceâ isnât tied to employment will lose coverage when they choose to spend their remaining savings on more basic needs than premiums.

The repubs are on damage control. The aid to businesses and corporations is supposed to cover keeping laid off employeesâ health insurance. If they didnât and this gets worse, then a lot of people with really good insurance coverage will be getting the wakeup call of their lives. The American way: ur on ur own.

For half a century the GOPâs healthcare plan is DON"T GET SICK, while the DNCâs owners are spending billions to make sure the Democrats expand the Affordable Care Actâs (ACA) poison pills that assure that we keep getting further from single-payer medical insurance, not closer to it. Pick your poison on November 3.

millions of workers could now be forced to seek coverage through the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA), through the Affordable Care Act, or through Medicaid.
Not many can afford COBRA coverage since: 1. You are unemployed 2. You have to pay your regular premium plus your employer portion.

All civilized humans are domesticated, not just cattle.
In addition, cattle donât watch TV or go to church. People do. People can be dumbed down. Boy comes home from school and sees Dad working in the garden. Dad, âSon, what did you learn in school today? Did you learn to think or did you learn to believe?â TV and church teach people to believe.

If progressives would please start facing the fact that it is our media that perpetuates all this crap then just maybe we can start having a real democracy. People arenât dumb but they are being misled by a very sophisticated propaganda system. The little guy doesnât catch a break when TV news anchors get paid millions of dollars to become ânews celebritiesâ who do what the oligarchic class believes is the way things should be.
The media is the main weapon of the oligarchy! We may read CD and watch Amy Goodman but the CNNs and the Fux News of this world run the con on everybody. The oligarchic media prevents support for Bernie and M4A. The media does that and the politicians know it and play to it. There is the whole game⌠our democracy has lost its media by virtue of an oligarchic takeover. Until we focus our energies on retaking our own and only form of national communication then there will be no revolution or reformation or anything progressive unless conditions get so bad that they force change by destruction if nothing else.
The media as it is now⌠screws us constantly. And thatâs all folks!

Several edges to that sword, like the HC folks and their ilk who will always despise progressives and Bernie, the cowardly regular olâ dims who wait for the DNC to instruct them and the corporate loving voters who are slurping up all of that tasty Fake News by the corporate owned cable stations! I was shocked to have that last one thrown in my face when i was listening to NPR and realized they were actively bashing BERNIE ! Even public radio has corporate handlers, evidently. This Bernie guy has REALLY pissed off legions of humans. I worry where it will end, and how much pushing will be required.
