'We Won't Stop Till There Is Justice': Uber and Lyft Drivers Strike Against Deep Pay Cuts

Jake Johnson, staff writer

Uber and Lyft drivers in California went on strike Monday to protest poor treatment and steep pay cuts that dragged their already-paltry wages to unsustainably low levels.

"I stand with Uber and Lyft drivers striking in LA. Drivers must be paid the wages they deserve."

Find a different job.

  1. Unemployment is 4.2% in California currently. If you don’t like what Uber and Lyft pay, find a different job.

  2. “I was working 55 to 60 hours a week and making anywhere from $1,100 to $2,000 a week” so, he was making at least the median household income, and potentially 2x the median household income. Now, he’s only making median household income.
