Goebbels would be green with envy but proud to see how well the GOP has refined the craft he pioneered.

Oh, dearie me, Trump is having a bunch of neo-fascist propagandists fired – and the neocons in the corporate media are going into hysterics over it.

That’s the Trump Era in a nutshell: Ego-driven Trump hires and fires a bunch of establishment monsters pushing WWIII, while the Democrats clutch their pearls and rally around the warmongering, propaganda-spewing trash, all the way down to JOHN FRIKKIN’ BOLTON.

Just once I wish the Democrats and liberal class would consider attacking Donald Trump from the left.

(But no. Most of those neoconservative scumbags are still peddling Russiagate, as if every pillar of that conspiracy theory hasn’t come crumbling down, thanks to the excellent journalism of Glenn Greenwald, Aaron Mate, Matt Taibbi, and the late, great Robert Parr.)

Do the right-wing extremists really think any of trump’s outlandish governing and the changes he brings will stand after he is history?
Just hard work to revitalize America in a sane way will be the order of the day. Progressive legislation may have to wait a while.

That’s Jon ALSOP, formally Stewart Johonnot Oliver Alsop II (or Jr., depending on the source). He is from “an old Yankee family” according to Wikipedia. Surprisingly, they didn’t spell it “olde.” He was educated at Groton and Yale (naturally), and his father and his uncle Joseph Alsop were conservative Republican journalists from 1945-1958. Stewart continued to write a weekly column for the Saturday Evening Post until 1968 (which is probably where I remember him from), and for Newsweek until he died in 1974.

Judging from this article Jon Jr. may have moved somewhat to the left politically, but he is still a venture capitalist (not necessarily a vulture capitalist) and a publisher of business magazines and related material.

Yep, yep, yep. More of the same, just worser and worser.
The generally conservative establishment-loving media, including VOA, has gone a tad left in shock over how far right and how quickly Trump is trying to move to the far right.
Bernie, you were right. It’s not about you, it’s about us, and a revolution is the only way.
