Originally published at: While Americans Sleep, Our Corporate Overlords Make Progress Impossible
Our politicians are proto-psychopaths, actively and wholly supporting corporations. They are bought and financially supported by the corporations. All corporations are psychopaths, like Ted Bundy, Jeffrey Dahmer, Dennis Rader (BTK) and Robert Rodrigues. Corporations are NOT human. They are selfish and cold-blooded to the extreme. They have no feeling, no empathy, no compassion, and are willing to kill millions (social murder) for profit, power, and pleasure. Unlike direct murderer psychopaths, corporations murder without accountability or justice. They own our democracy, our politics, our healthcare, our climate, our lives, and our future. They are destroying civilization in favor of white-supremacy corporate fascism, racial division, and the culling of the people’s education.
They blind the people to the truth, spending billions on PR to show us they care for Humanity and the planet, while they suck the life-blood out of them. They are antisocial, anti-human and cruel. They feel no guilt, remorse, morality, or ethics. They look on regular people as expendable work-unit victims and have absolutely no respect for Humanity. Their desire and need for infinite wealth is a sick addiction in the face of the millions in poverty in this country. With all crises the world is facing, we had better act now. There is no system in place to protect the safety of the people of the USA. They are too brainwashed and scared to act. There is no limit to corporate psychopathic power.
I will vote for a Nader-Sanders-Jacksonh ticket in the next presidential election. I like your platform, Mr. Nader. I think Warren wants to head the Federal Reserve.
Blaming voters for not voting and staying silent is a sell-out since that is not the case. I admit readily that the public is fed-up with politicians on both sides, and dislike many of those running on both sides when it becomes time vote and elect/re-elect all those losers and grifters. Even when voted out, often the next one is worse, or as bad, wo what’s the point? Since LBF, the majority have demanded across the board healthcare, better pay, better retirements, unions, infrastructure investment, Green energy, Eco policy that works, etc. Has any of that occurred? No, and we are many, many decades from LBJ. The Centrist Dems have made certain none of that occurs, and never will. As for the entire GOP, who knows what it is they believe or want other than total destruction of this country. It certainly isn’t the American people.
I fear Warren won’t shake Nader’s hand, either.
Thank you Ralph for speaking truth to the sleeping sheeple. We desperately need a complete overhaul. Abolish parties, lobbies, and the influence of money in governance.
(remember the Constitution’s “We the People”)
Remember when the Constitution said “we the people” in 1776, it meant we the people who are wealthy plantation owners; slave owners and also it does not include our wives as people!
Yada yada yada.
All talk. And what are we supposed to DO about it? I mean, we voted Biden in, and we are told that all the trouble we had to do that is for naught, since those whose job it is to ENFORCE the will of the people have openly stated that they will use all their power to thwart the will of the people.
So what can we DO about it?
I think T.J. would answer your question this way: THE TREE OF LIBERTY MUST BE WATERED AND FERTILIZED WITH THE BLOOD OF PATRIOTS.
Already watered and fertilized with blood and bones and bodies. Still not seeing a lot of changes.
Ok, so here we are again with the problems all spread out in front of us. Thank you Mr. Nader. We can see where we need to go but how do we get there from here? The overlords seem to have a tight grip on the steering wheel and the bus is going nowhere faster.
Ralph, in your view does our public school system turn out citizens who are equipped to think about, even understand or care about any of these things?
For generations most US school boards have been stacked with members whose mission it is to turn out greedy, paranoid servants for the oligarchy. Teachers who stray from that path soon find second careers outside of the diploma milling industry.
Liar!
Where?
Show me all those bones that YOU have deposited!
A homeless disabled veteran that tried harder than you or anyone else.
Well, shameful is too mild, criminal will do, but utterly preposterous and intolerable is where you’ll find me. Vote out every incumbent at your next chance and vote in concerned, responsible citizens who care about what matters and aren’t looking to become bookends for corporations and the wealthy and stay in office for the rest of their lives. This shit has got to stop, soon!
Do you know the difference between “literal” and “figurative”? Obviously not…
The supposedly bipartisan bill is focused on “traditional” infrastructure - mostly highway construction guaranteed to worsen traffic congestion. As such, automobile-related business interests in manufacture, sales, finance, insurance, fuel refinery and distribution, pay to park and drive as much as we do (like chickens with their heads cut off) only hastens dire predictions of climate change. Both bills pretend to reduce fuel/energy consumption, emissions and insane traffic.
The standard municipal 40’ rattletrap bus does NOT convert to EV very well, nor does the GM/Ford paratransit lift-van which should be easy boarding low-floor for seniors and disabled, nor does the 1950’s tech Yellow School Bus which painted dark blue are used for prisoner transport and road crew. So if they’re good enough for prisoners, they’re good enough for children?
The Progressive Caucus and conscientious environmental organizations are completely duped by slick corporate propaganda. Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk and automobile-related business interests are glibly committing crimes against humanity.
Either way, I know only one truth.
(but millions of opinions)
My liberty or death stand is not only well documented, but well tested too.
I am not done.
I am a hero.
I seriously doubt that the Biden administration would be permitted to make a notably practical improvement in poor and low-income Americans’ quality of life, regardless of how much Biden may want, or not want, to deliver such greatly needed assistance.
I believe that the DNC refuses to allow a Bernie Sanders presidential candidacy, regardless of what Democratic Party members/voters want. For example, every county in West Virginia voted for Sanders in 2016, yet the Democratic National Committee declared them as wins for Clinton, the latter candidate’s neo-liberalism, unlike Sanders’ fiscal-progressiveness, already known for not rubbing against any big business grain. Fiscal conservative ideology/politics, big business interests and most of the corporate mainstream news-media resist sufficiently progressive ideas from actually being implemented. They seem to favor big money interests over people.
Republican representatives may also be manipulating the Democratic Party hierarchy into making the latter’s fiscal politics/policies more conservative.
