While Appearing to Struggle With National Anthem, Analysis Shows Trump Speaks at, Like, Fourth Grade Level

Julia Conley, staff writer

After months of attacking football players for kneeling during the anthem—and bragging about his intelligence—Trump appears to forget the song's words

He didn’t forget the words,he never knew them.

If Trump speaks at a fourth grade level that probably helps connect him with many voters who also I would assume speak around that level. These voters regard people who use big words and complex sentences as being elites and looking down at them. Trump’s “gutter” talk also helps him connect. Everything about Trump suggests he is person of subpar intelligence and would likely have never been heard of if he hadn’t inherited millions of dollars and had a father who prevented him for failing in real estate. His big appeal to voters is his goal of establishing an authoritarian state for the benefit of white people. There is a tremendous backlash against the millions of Latinos who have immigrated here, legally and illegally. The same thing is happening in Europe but the backlash is against immigrants from the Middle East. Any demagogue who can promise a authoritarian state for whites is able to obtain a lot of political support. In the US, by disregarding the Constitution and laws this can be achieved and it appears that Republicans are doing their best to achieve it.

I can’t stand looking at him long enough to get a laugh at his stupidity.
I was hoping for glaringly incorrect words. He was just acting patriotic,
no different than usual.

Holy –

Let’s get rid of anything that smells like a “pledge” or a “loyalty oath” …
especially that this violent song is taught to children in elementary schools.
So is the flag fetish that continues to detract from the truth of Our Founders
who used the Constitution to create an Elite patriarchy/wealthy.

Stand and turn your back –
Don’t sing –
Kneel
Don’t Stand –

Whatever …

Clearly, the GOP is scraping the bottom of the barrel of evil to find candidates.

Enough with the song already. Know the words, don’t know the words, stand, sit, kneel, jump up and down—whatever! Time to this nation to take seriously the real signs of love of country–working to make it a better place–and leave the superficial, silly, sophomoric, immature frameworks behind.

He seemed to know the rockets and bombs part . . .

watching the Rep/Pres meeting this morning on NBC, it was apparent he is just a bully with no couth, no empathy. He “promised” to sign a DACA bill without any restrictions then proceeded to announce that well we NEED THAT WALL. In other words, no signing if he doesn’t get his little wall, who cares about the Dreamers, he sure doesn’t,.

‘While Appearing to Struggle With National Anthem, Analysis Shows Trump Speaks at, Like, Fourth Grade Level’

Hopefully, the writer of the above headline realizes that it doesn’t make any sense.

He might be as dumb as a box o’ rocks or he has dementia, either way the oligarchy love their reject automaton.

#14

The GOP has been taken over by a crowd that just wants a president who looks out for the interests of white folks only and have concluded only an authoritarian can do that. That would be making America great again.

#16

He looks like he forgot his fidget spinner. The servicemen standing next to him are still as a limp flag, while the Dumpster Fire wiggled around, looking antsy like a snot nosed, disruptive 6 year old in a school play. Some genius!!

#17

The author is, like, mimicking the @realpinhead who wrote like that in the first place …

#18

Check your facts - Hoover was really quite bright . .

He learned Mandaran, had an engineering degree . . and more

Not saying he was a decent prez - by no means

#19

Trump certainly has no problem with foul language:

Just a weeee bit over the top sexist?

Fascists aren’t well known for their kindly views on non-“whites” … though at the most
we are pink people (as the native people here described us/akin to pigs) … and/or kind
of beige-y at best – in other words, we’re all people of color.

Both parties have the same Elite/wealthy owners –
Koch Bros./John Birch Society Family managed to not get talked about much until the
last maybe ten years at most. John Birch Society at one time got a lot of attention – in
particularly from Pres. John Kennedy who was referring to them (JBS) in his comments
on liberalism … “If by liberal you mean…”

They were also involved with the “Wanted” poster in Dealey Plaza.

Unfortunately, I agree with you that a substantial percentage of fourth grade level people would have the opinion you state and thus be taken in by Trump more than people with a higher grade level (some of which are taken in anyway - others are racist - others think Trump is an idiot, but still in their economic self-interest).

What is the obvious conclusion? Bernie was right to push for free public college tuition. A more educated public irregardless of whether that education directly applies to a career is a good thing for US democracy. I’ve long thought I want my car mechanic and everybody else to have a college education. Free tuition won’t get us all the way there immediately, but it would help.

In general, I’m against means-testing for benefits - I say make the tuition free for everybody and richer people still get a benefit (but pay more for it obviously).

Coincidence?
Drumpf, is also the only other prez. other than Hoover that was only a business man with no military or government service before becoming to the office.

Many animals, particularly predators, are clever. They have what could be called “street smarts”. But their level of intelligence does not rise above what, for humans, would be that of an early childhood level. Donald Trump is a clever predator. But . . . .
