As is so often the case under Fascism, the cruelty, itself, is the point, im assuming.

God bless the USA where criminal thugs are made president and others are given police uniforms. The only thing exceptional about the USA is just how depraved and insane it is.

Now you have a bit more broadened sense of WHY this system has to be changed out. Stay tuned. Do, however, revisit the March 4, 2015 Justice Dept Report on the Ferguson Poliuce Dept. and you will have a slightly broader understanding of why Trump is attempting to control the Justice Dept. He is the penultimate “externalizer” of costs - which is why both parties pussy-foot around him and flap their jaws. No transparency (uncounted costs ‘externalized’/nullified). Lots of profits and manipulation occur behind those veils.

I wonder what those same cops would have done if they saw somebody else doing exactly the same thing?

Would anybody be surprised if they used lethal force on them?

This is thuggery. I hope those officers are disciplined and removed from the police force.

They should also have to reimburse any costs.

Totally unnecessary acts of vandalism which these very same so-called “heroes” would react to with extreme violence, were they committed
by civilian protesters.

The wrong people are being arrested.

They should all be in jail for terrorism.

“Medics over there. News crews. Random people that were just here to protest and—tires slashed,” the driver said. “It’s unbelievable.”

It’s only unbelievable to people that have not been paying attention to what has been going on in Amerika for a long, long time!

The law suits are going to mount in this case and so many others.
And when “just following orders” is the Nazi-esque excuse, the po-po have already lost the argument.

From the article:
Bruce Gordon, spokesperson for the Department of Public Safety, said in a statement that “state patrol troopers strategically deflated tires”…

“strategically deflated tires.” OMG. He actually said that!

Its a form of welfare, otherwise these dudes would be unemployed and so they create this thug force to employ them so they dont go hungry. The more fear they can whip up the more they can do it. meanwhile, lots of children are going to sleep hungry and schools are being dismantled families whose homes are not served and will never be served by broadband told, “get a laptop, kid” as if that is a solution. Basically, the idea of having a country is being abandoned, its being turned into a feudal fiefdom of by and for the rich. This is dangerous because nobody wants this, the rich dont want it, the poor dont want it, only the molesters want it. The only choice we get is which one. Which is no choice at all.

The police department should be forced to reveal who authorized tire slashing as a tactic.

The police chief? The mayor? Someone else?

As others noted, this will likely end in the courts. But it should be pursued by the press.

The police are supposed to serve the public. They should be held accountable.

“Bruce Gordon, spokesperson for the Department of Public Safety, said in a [statement] that ‘state patrol troopers strategically deflated tires’ in an effort to ‘stop behaviors such as vehicles driving dangerously and at high speeds in and around protesters and law enforcement.’”

Oh come on, they’re not even trying anymore. How about, “Those tires were no angels?”

“Gordon said state patrol officers targeted cars that were carrying ‘items used to cause harm during violent protests,’ without providing any evidence that the cars contained such items.”

So, destruction of private property for an alleged thought crime? Where does this fall under due process?

Po-po statement:

Those cars tripped, fell, and got flat tires.

That statement has to be the epitome of euphemisms!

Aren’t the police supposed to arrest people for vandalizing public property?
