With DOJ Reversal on Private Prisons, Corporate Jailers Get What They Paid For

Deirdre Fulton, staff writer

Reflecting the influence of big donors and corporate interests on the Trump administration, Attorney General Jeff Sessions on Thursday rescinded the Department of Justice's (DOJ) 2016 directive to scale back the use of for-profit, private prisons.

The only reason conservatives want to privatize government and public services is so they can stick their thumb in the pie and roll that pork barrel home for their taking. Privatizing has never once led to better and cheaper provision of services. When its "for profit" how could it ever be cheaper and better at the same time? Privatizing is a risk averse and lazy man's way of building a business in this capitalist system. Go build a real business you greedy cowards!!

First off, not private prisons. They are CORPORATION, SOVIET STYLED, AMERICAN PRISON GULAGS! Furthermore, said school house to corporation, soviet styled, gulag prison house begins at as early of an age as 6 years old, right here in America."Tennessee Police Arrest Students Aged 6 To 11 At Elementary School For Watching Neighborhood Fight", By; Elliot Hannon, April 19, 2016, Slate.com. These Corporation, Soviet Styled, American Prison Gulags, are going to come to a screeching halt one day soon, Bet That!

I hope they make ready nice cozy cells for Sessions and his crooked colleagues in the Trump admin. And a nice golden one for the Trumpster himself. Call it Sing-Sing-o-Lago.

No conflicts of interest in this regime! Right....here are some of the "jobs" der trumpenfuhrer promised! The enormity of the contempt for justice, civil-rights, the environment and a seemingly endless list of depravity, bigotry, racism, self interest and cronyism are over the top and should be seen and treated as hanging offenses....IMO!

Campaign-contribution bribes that bring the asked-for, often written-by the briber policy decisions are a crime!

To any Trump supporters that are looking for some good investments, I would recommend: private prisons; Energy Transfer Partners; the Mexico wall; and the MIC.

The state of Idaho found out about private prisons in their state bilking the state out of million$$$ by falsifying operational costs, salaries, and services provided. It took years of families of the incarcerated lodging complaints of mistreatment, brutality by guards, poor hygenic conditions, extensive inhumane confinement times to cells without breaks for exercise, and rotten food. In addition, the high turnover of prison guards was investigated and found they were severely overworked and underpaid yet the bills sent to the Idaho governor and office of prisons stated otherwise. The state proceeded to take back the prisons and ousted the contractors.

And you are absolutely right about the proponents of private prisons across the political spectrum raking in their very own profits from the scams...with the emperor and his family business among them.

Hamilton County, Tennessee was where Corrections Corporation of America,(CCA) the first American Gulag in America. Anyways, a follow up on the elementary school kids who were arrested straight out of their classroom for not breaking up a fight off campus between older kids, WTF! Further no school administrator, or parent was notified of the situation the children were in, or about an arrest that was going to take place. Here also, a Fucking Judge signed off on the arrest warrant on the little kids, a Fucking Judge signed the arrest warrant! The school house to corporation juvenile gulags pipeline, America Fucking Wake-Up!

Those close to me have seen the vast benefits of governing by greed. Or to put it another way, if you got a kid, be ready to fight like hell, as they are simply fodder for the industry. 911 robbed kids rights too.

Mossonarock, I wish I could give you 1000 likes. Your words are true!

This is what I expected from Sessions, and worse to come! As quoted above, he says this is needed......"to meet the future needs of the Federal correctional system". It sounds as though old Jeff
maybe has plans for protesters and dissenters.

Don't forget the undocumented persons who will be detained in the privately owned/operated "detention centers" (prison camps) who are and will continue to be targeted for expulsion (eradication). Sessions is one nasty little man/boy...just what T-dump favors.

Most people have no idea of the kind of evil the Trump presidency is dragging them into. Evil in its purest form is about to confront us, something the nation has not seen since the days of slavery.

Funding is public (taxes); the profits are private. That's all that matters. We're all free to employ any semantic gyrations we wish in describing 21st-Century government funding, as long as those public dollars keep flowing into private pockets.

USA Today sez: "GEO Group, one of the nation's largest for-profit prison operators, donated $250,000 to support Trump's inaugural festivities ... on top of the $225,000 that a company subsidiary donated to a super PAC that spent some $22 million to help elect the real-estate magnate ... Another prison operator, CoreCivic, gave $250,000 to support Trump's inauguration ..."

International Business Times sez: "GEO and [CoreCivic] have also given more than $1.6 million to the Republican Governors Association ...

Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) sez: "Private prison companies invested hundreds of thousands of dollars in Donald Trump's presidential campaign and today they got their reward."

One of these three sources undertands the importance of accuracy in language. Hint: it may not be the "media".

I knew this was coming. Private prisons qhere im at are the most despicable and expensive prisons. There is one that made national news a few years ago because the guards were setting up fights with inmates and betting on the outcome. They also have an easier time to bring in drugs and having sex with inmates. There is a sex offender prison that had a female guard that was notorious for bringing in heroin and having sex with the inmates, got busted for doing it multiple times, but yet still works the same prison. The guard sets up an account so the inmate can call their peeps and transfer money to it. Just that simple. Funny tging is that America has the highest reoffense rates on the planet. So when a child is raped by someone fresh out, be sure to go to the prison they came from and thank the warden and guards for helping the offender commit child rape...seriously, this literally happens. So that lying a** statement you see on tv of "no more victims" will never happen because the state, is literally helping child rapists reoffend. We're number one! We're number one!.....yea
