With the Growth of Catholic Hospital Systems, Women’s Health is Put at Risk by Religious Rules

Historically, the Roman Catholic Church took a stand against any type of birth control as a way to keep the church population numbers up and ongoing. Their antiquated stand on birth control and a women's right to choose nowadays (along with the predation of priests worldwide that was hidden) have taken their toll on church patronage and membership. At least the new Pope is more of a populist than several of his predecessors.

First do no harm

Unless God's cool with it

Separation of church and state should go hand in hand with separation of church and health care. When religion harms people it is time to restrict it.
