'Wouldn't Have Happened Without Our Movement': Climate Leaders Celebrate as McConnell Delays Cynical Green New Deal Vote

Jake Johnson, staff writer

Youth climate activists celebrated Wednesday after Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) delayed his cynical plan to rush a vote on the Green New Deal resolution in the face of massive grassroots opposition.

Blind Turtle has been free to get away with whatever he wants as the ugliest most regressive political leader in the USA.

Props to youth activists for going straight to his face, letting him know he can’t get away with any more without making a public spectacle about him.

On the offensive, build momentum, so much farther to go but FINALLY moving.

While it’s wonderful that we’re going to get Senators on the record concerning their belief in or skepticism about human-caused global warming, it’ll be meaningless in terms of the damage already being done.

And every Democrat believes human-caused global warming is real but there sure are a hell of a lot of them who will do the bare minimum – wholly inadequate! – to mitigate it.

We cannot wait until August to pass the Green New Deal!
