'Years of Work Down the Drain' as Trump Endangers Wildlife and Communities by Gutting Successful Conservation Program

Julia Conley, staff writer

As part of its anti-environment agenda, the Trump administration has directly contradicted orders from Congress by cutting funding for a successful national conservation program.

Let’s see- no more public ed, no water, no food, no animals- what are we doing- we are letting our country go down the drain. Are we going to twiddle our thumbs?

Actually yes, those on the left of (center left) wont do anything but complain. Seems we on the center left always have to save the rest of you.

Yes, your “center-left” brought us the WTO, NAFTA, mass incarceration, “all-in” energy including coal and fracking, trillion-dollar nuke weapons “modernization,” repeal of Glass-Steagall, etc. etc. etc.

Stop “saving” us! Laughable.

“Trump doesn’t care about anything but his own hotels and golf courses.”

Some truth to that, but also:
A sick part of his sick mind actually gets that the world is unraveling, and he gets a sick thrill out of pushing that forward.

Please explain to me how the fuck you think you saved the rest of us.

His hatred of the natural world is astonishing. A complete denial of the connection between the natural world and human survival. I guess he thinks man can just conjure up some nature in a factory.

We " took you to the river, washed you in the water, washing you down, washing you down ", and now you smell better, too.
Pretty soon we’ll have you scrubbed up enough ( ear cleaing is optional ) that you’ll be presentable to the general left.

Donald Trump doesn’t care and doesn’t want the world to live 24 hours after he departs from it. He’s that sick.

Nixon pulled this stunt about 45 years ago, and Congress addressed the problem and resolved it by passing the “Congressional Budget and Impoundment Control Act of 1974”.

The Federal budget, including the $12.5 million at issue here, is law. Unless the President requested and Congress approved a recission - neither action was mentioned in the article - Trump’s refusal to spend the money is a refusal to “faithfully execute the laws” as required by the Presidential Oath of Office. A violation of the oath is grounds for impeachment. (Right, Nancy?)

The problem is, trump makes his own rules and the gop is enabling him to do so. If this isn’t a dictatorship I don’t know what is. It looks like a lot of blood was spilled for nothing.

Good one, but seriously what have WE done lately?

Continue to call your useless eater reps, and write letters in the paper. Embarass them and ask directly why this is happening.

So? Where are the rest of us- we already know that he is that sick.

We must remember that Trump’s Folly will ban access to
the Rio Grande River, not only for ranchers and farmers,
but also to wildlife. His stupid wall will not make us safer
and it will also be an environmental disaster.

Fine, would you prefer I vote for the republican nominee…

Your awful candidates, presidents, and party, led us straight to Trump. No thanks for “saving” us.

As long as Trumf has plenty of long red ties he could care less.

We know this already- but we have to be serious.

Most people, including many " liberals " think that $$$ will protect them from almost every calamity. Therefore, they continue to actually accumulate more than is necessary, for themselves/family only. But, that isn’t close to the reality.
With JIT-D ( just in time-delivery ), often talked about in terms of " logistics ", our large city-states run on a 7 day cycle schedule. Which just means food, fuel and medical necessities, etc.are replenished every week. During catastrophic events such as earthguakes, hurricanes or like the recent massive floods, in 10-14 days most citizens will be facing death at their doorsteps, irrespective of the $$$ they have.
That’s just how it works, unfortunately, if you think you can always buy your way out of everything.
Just sayin’.
