Yemen Crisis: One More Reason to Re-evaluate the Toxic U.S.-Saudi Alliance

Medea Benjamin

After almost a year of civil war, the conflicting forces in Yemen sat down on December 15 in Geneva, Switzerland, to discuss the prospect of finding a political solution to the conflict that has been raging since March 2015. While this is a necessary step towards ending the violence that has killed thousands, crippled infrastructure and led to a critical humanitarian crisis, the peace talks should include a mechanism for rebuilding this impoverished nation.

Thank you, Medea for caring about this issue.

The cruelty and depraved indifference for human life are so overwhelming that I can barely form a comment.

The relationship with the Saudis and the USA is Symbiotic. The Saudis would never have such a Governmnet in place and would nver hvae attacked Yemen were it not for the fact they know the USA would back them. The two countries are toxic to each other.

EMBRACE CLIMATE CHANGE--- The Earth is Sending us a Message and we need to Embrace it instead of Fighting It. We need to See and Hear the Message from Earth--Earth is sending us messages of Climate Change---either we take heed or we face the consequences. We can Really use a Good Climate Change....
EMBRACE EMPIRE CHANGE-- A solid military defeat of the Empire would do the world a great deal of good--(& this is not related to the Empire of Star Wars, or maybe it is)...A good defeat of a rogue planetary government would do the Earth a great deal of good.

America is so bizarre. Its mental illness of American exceptionalism and manifest destiny allow it to perpetrate endless death and suffering while claiming it is a force for good. God bless America? You've got to be kidding right? Hell is going to be really over -crowded.

Exactly my thoughts.
